I was fortunate to be able to attend Agile 2009 in Chicago last week (www.agile2009.org) – a great five day gathering of Agile minded people from around the world. The stats of the conference show how big the event is now:

  • 1350 Attendees from 38 countries
  • 300 sessions across 20 themed “stages”
  • 17 separate personas http://www.agile2009.org/personas – see how they’ve built the program for a great example of using personas to help identify requirements.
  • The theme of the conference was “Making Agile Real” – crossing the chasm from experimentation with Agile techniques to organisation wide adoption of Agile techniques as THE way of working in software development today.

I blogged about the conference at http://softwareeducation.wordpress.com – please read them and let me have your comments.
